Ryan Lukson was born and raised in Richland, WA and graduated from Richland High School. After receiving his Business-Finance Degree from the University of Washington, and subsequent Juris Doctor Degree from Florida State University, Ryan worked as a civil litigator for several years in Orlando, FL and Seattle, WA. With a desire to move closer to family, Ryan moved back to the Tri-Cities in 2011. 


Since returning to the Tri-Cities, Ryan has worked as the chief litigator for the Benton County Prosecutor’s Office. His duties include advising and litigating cases on behalf of the Benton County Sheriff, Benton County Jail, and Benton County Coroner. Ryan was elected to the Richland City Council in 2017 and appointed Mayor in January 2020. 

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys hiking, golfing, paddle boarding, and all of the wonderful local restaurants and amenities the Tri-Cities has to offer.
